Just as many other advertising campaigns, ‘Just Do It’ are one of the famous advertising slogans based on simple idea. In 1982, during the New York City Marathon the first advertisement was aired by Nike. It was designed by Wieden and Kennedy Agency, that advertises for Nike even today. Their association won two awards in the Cannes Advertising Festival, for the ‘advertiser of the year’ in 1994 and 2003. In 1990’s Nike received an Emmy Award twice, for the best commercial.

Just Do It slogan was promoted in all the Nike advertisements, using sports celebrities who promoted sports apparels and other Nike products. The campaigns run so well that it helped Nike to compete with its competitors. Today, many football teams such as Arsenal, FC Barcelona and Manchester United; are sponsored by Nike.

In 1980’s, Just Do It slogan attracted many consumers, especially teenagers. This slogan also captured corporate strategy of determination, attitude and passion.
